From Malaysia, We arrived in Singapore at around 3 AM and was able get through immigration. We reached the drop off point (beach road) earlier than expected, which I believe better than being delayed.

My uncle booked us in FIVE STONE HOSTEL which is the best place to stay if you are backpacking, traveling solo, or with a group. There are designated floors for females, and for males, for mixed and private rooms. Common bathroom for female is located on the 4th and for the male is in the 5th floor. Facilities includes, free WiFi, free laundry, free drinks at the lobby, Desktop use, travel guidebooks, and the use of the lounge.

Check out their Website 🙂  @ FIVE STONE HOSTEL

Same as the other hotels, check in time should be @ 12 noon and check out time @ 3 pm. Since we were not yet able to check in, we left our stuff at the lobby which is perfectly safe, and we were allowed to use the common bathroom to take a shower. The common bathroom is not bad, free shampoo and soap were available through a dispenser . After being refreshed from our sleepless trip, we took a nap at the lounge, in a soft and cozy sofa ❤

Woke up around @ around 6 AM since my uncle arrived :), did a little chat and “kamustahan” (regards or hello in Filipino) because the last time we met, I’m still at preschool 😀 Then we went off to Sentosa station since our plan for the day is Universal Studios Singapore. My uncle taught us how to commute around Singapore, familiarized us with different transits and stops so that he could leave us on our own, we are very lucky to have him as our guide.

From Nicoll highway – Promenade – Esplanade – Bras Basah , we transfer train in Doby Gaut station. We switched train from the yellow lane to violet lane going to Harbour Front. You can download the MRT &LRT MAP for your guide 🙂  We haven’t had breakfast so we checked Chinatown if there would be an open hawker or restaurants, sadly the stores are still closed since it’s only 8 AM. So we went back to the station and continued our journey to Vivo City mall, in Harbour front station.

We had our breakfast at McDonald since other restaurants are still closed, and we were in shock of how high the cost of living in Singapore is! (OA na kung OA HAHA!) 😱😱😱 We cannot believe our eyes of how expensive the food was. We spent (well not really us but my uncle, but still!😂) Almost 350 php for a single breakfast meal? NO WAY!  we literally rechecked the receipt and the price board 😂 hahaha! But yes, what can we do? I think Malaysia spoiled us too much, looks like our pockets are not ready for Singapore 😂

After our breakfast, we went straight to Universal Studios via Sentosa Express Monorail. We had our tickets printed beforehand and bought ours at KLOOK, for a discounted price of ₱ 2480 (before: 2771php). I would suggest doing the same thing and get your tickets in advance via the internet, to skip the long lines in the ticket both (the tickets could also be a proof of visit in Singapore at the immigration). Good thing the lines were not too long that time since its still 9:30 AM and the park opens at 10, also its lesser crowd since its Monday! 🙂

So here we are! Universal studios Singapore is now open! they even have a game before the opening giving away fast pass for the rides 👍

So, where to go?

Jeth’s coworker highly recommend transformers, the mummy, and the roller coasters. We didn’t want to exhaust ourselves trying to cover all the rides so we only pick the must try rides recommended to us and enjoy the place 🙂 (also, we want to survive the following days ahead, including work 😦 )

First off! The Transformers Ride! 🙂 We are so lucky to be one of the firs few people to enter the park and so it only took us abut 15 mins to experience this ride 🙂 (that’s a bonus if you compare to the usual waiting time of the ride)

I would say that this is definitely a must try! Transformers: The ride is a 3D dark ride, with a motion-based vehicle, with lots of special effects like, water, hot air, fog, air blasts, vibration, and smoke. At first, I didn’t expect much about this ride, because I thought its just a regular 3D show. But the special effects were just so good that it feels real and more like a Roller coaster than just a sit-on 3D movie. I love the fact that all we saw was just special effects and motion picture, but the feeling was real and really exciting!

The next ride we went to is another recommendation from a friend, which is nooot veryyyy pleasing for me to hear, and it’s Revenge of the Mummy. Personally I don’t like horror themed rides because I’m afraid of ghosts xD (Sorry! yes, I’m weak! xD) or anything that’s related to it haha! I was even more terrified since there’s no lines! oh no! no escape from here!

At the entrance, we were required to put our stuff (bags, cap, and even personal belongings) at the lockers outside. The lockers have a free 45 mins rental, but if you exceed you have to pay depending on the excess (don’t worry it’s safe, lockers were fingerprint secured). That was the moment we learned that this ride is a gonna be a bumpy ride! 🙂 So now its fair, since jeth loves horror and i love roller coaster rides but hated the opposites, Now both of us are scared and excited at the same time! haha!😏😏

So yes it’s real! the ride was really an indoor roller coasters! I had fun!  I didn’t mind the mummies much, I only enjoyed the ride! the ups and downs, and the fast speed 😃😃

However, the guy who once told that this is gonna be FUN, was terrified and scared! 🤣 We were screaming our lungs out! and I Though we were both having fun, looks like I’m the only one! 🙊🙊🙊 Jeth was a bit dizzy and feeling sick after the ride, and considering that this is just a minor type of roller coaster compare to the 2 huge coasters outside (He promised to ride), its gonna be a challenge for him to get on another one xD

We took a break from the rides and checkout places to film and take pictures.

Roaming around USS we saw that the Sesame Street Show has no lines!😊😊

A little break from the crazy rides, we watched – When I Grow Up ® in Hollywood street ☺ The theater was very spacious and air conditioned, so we were able to cool down from the heat and humidity outside. The show is very friendly and we enjoyed ourselves because we both loved Elmo, perfect for the kids and to represent the adult it’s perfect for us too 😂😂😂

Time flies so fast when your’e having fun, its already lunch time! We planned not to eat inside Universal Studios or any malls near the area since we already knew its gonna be expensive. We went back to Chinatown to find a hawker. Back to Sentosa station to Vivo mall to Chinatown via transits.

Luckily we found one! 🙂 A hawker near the Chinatown mall. The usual price range of hawker foods is around 2 SGD TO 6 SGD per meal, not bad compare to other commercial fast food chain pricing👍. The food stalls in Singapore were regularly checked by food inspectors so you don’t have to worry about the food handling 🙂

Both of us were a fan of Hainanese chicken and rice back in the Philippines, and we’re so excited to try the legit one! ❤ 👍😍

After satisfying our hunger, we went back to our hostel to check in because our stuff are still on their lobby. After settling our things, we went back to Universal Studios and continue our park activities and conquer the Roller coaster rides! 😍

Hello again, USS ❤ I’m excited but also a bit concerned with jet if he could make it 😣

We were in front of the Battlestar Galactica, trying to decide which ride from the two we’re gonna ride 🤔🤔🤔 Battlestar Galactica: Human vs. Cylon is a pair of steel, dueling roller coasters, one is team cyclone and the other is team human, so good versus evil 😈

The suspended trains on the Cylon side, and the old sit down trains on the Human side of Battlestar Galactica, looks like one of them is much more intense 😂😂😂

Jeth said that we will go to the ride with less waiting time, HUMAN have 75 minuets waiting time and the CYLON have 65 minuets waiting time. Knowing that the cyclon is much more intense than human, we chose to join the dark sidef of this battle! Also the locker rental was only free for 65 minuets, yes it’s a bit risky but, we have a plan 😉😉 After 30 minutes in line, I went back to the locker (since my finger print was used to secure it) and transfer our stuff to another locker number 🙂 so it’s another 65 min free for us! 🙂

Went back to the line, and found out that the ride is having a maintenance on going so it could delay the waiting time😖😫 Also, the sky is getting dark which made us think twice if we’ll still go for it. after 15 mins of waiting, the ride is now ready to get going! So we decided that since we’re already here, lets just do it! 👊👊👊 Another 30 min had passed and we can now see the ride!!!! I’m already getting scared and excited asking Jeth: are you sure about this? and giving him instructions to just scream it out loud to release the tension and keep his back, head and neck resting on the ride’s chair.

Almost 2 hours of waiting, now being launched at a high speed acceleration, being tossed in the air, having our guts twisted, and screaming as we possibly can! and just like that we have conquered the Battlestar Galactica as a Cylon 😈😈😈 The ride wss really amazing! really worth the wait (65 min is actually normal for roller coaster rides, based on famous theme parks like USS)

We were pretty much drained of what happened, and I’m so proud that Jeth was able to do it! but of course I know he would never do that again. Anyway just for the experience! 😁 annnddd bragging rights 🤣😂

For me, the adventures in Universal Studios Singapore was complete because of the satisfaction I felt after the cyclon. I’m happy that we chose it last, because it was really the highlight of the park for me, I’m not sure with jeth, but yes! it’s my favorite and I definitely recommended You to try it! and if possible try both HUMAN and CYCLON!😁

We wanted to see everything in the map so we walk around check out souvenir shops, buy the stuff requested from us (that will be paid when we get back 😂).

I saw the famous Unicorn featured in the Dispicable me movie and iitttttsssooooo fuffyyy im gonna die!!!! ❤ Also wore the Minion glass🤓🤓🤓

After seeing almost everything in the park, its now time to say goodbye to Universal Studios 👋👋👋

The lines going back to vivo city was already building up, so we took the monorail going to Sentosa Beach first and back to vivo city. We meet up with my uncle at the mall to have dinner ❤ We went to Queens town because my papito, wants a bike jersey as pasalubong, unfortunately, only badminton, golf, and tennis stuff were there 😂😂

It’s getting late and we haven’t had lunch so we ate at the nearest food station in the area at Anchorpoint‘s food court 🙂 I ordered laksa, jeth order hainanese (again) and my uncle ordered curry 🙂

It’s my first time to try Laksa, and one of my patients says that its a must try, especially in Singapore 🙂 Laksa is consists of rice noodles or rice vermicelli with chicken, prawn or fish, served in spicy soup; either based on rich and spicy curry coconut milk, or based on sour asam 😘😘 Laksa is a perfect combination of sweet and sour with a kick of spice 🙂 I’m inlove with my laksa, it was served in a huge bowl, and i finished it all by myself ❤

A blurry picture taken by a very hungry woman 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It’s already 10 in the evening and we have to rest for another day tomorrow! We went back to the hostel, took a shower and went straight to bed ❤ hoping that we wont be in a roller coaster dream 😂

that’s it for today! 🙂 If you ever reached this part,  all I can say is thank you for your time, interest and your patience ❤
