BOHOL: The Bellevue Resort in Panglao

First thing in mind when you hear about Bohol, is the ever famous Chocolate Hills. However, We decided to skip the hills on our first day since we arrived in Tagbiliran port in the afternoon.

From Cebu, we checked out from the hotel around 1 pm, then straight to Pier 1 (Only 15 mins away form the Radisson Blu hotel). We were able to catch a trip scheduled 2 pm via OCEANJET.  The Ferry ride from Cebu to Tagbiliran took us about 2-3 hours, we choose tourist rate which is 500 php for air conditioned accommodation. You can check ferry schedules and rates here.

We arrived at Tagbiliran port around 4 pm and from there we were able to find a van for rent. Van rental includes the service to Panglao where we would check in, and 1 day tour in Bohol the next day all for 3,500 php.

We booked 2 days in The Bellevue Resort, in Panglao, thru Expedia. The hotel location was very private, the facility was nice and relaxing to see. Although the rates was expensive, you will get what you paid for.

The hotel has an infinity pool facing the beach front, the rooms are facing the beach view as well. The location was far from Alona beach so it’s quiet, perfect for people who wanted a relaxing and less crowded vacation. The beach was okay, the white sand was very fine, the water was clear but there are still seaweeds on other areas of the stretch.

Since it’s already the afternoon, there’s nothing much to do so we took the the opportunity to enjoy the resort and other amenities in the area. Enjoyed the food and the beautiful sunset. Free kayak, paddle board and additional fee for jet ski are the water activities available in the beach area. Spa services, gym, and bar/ lounge are also available.

Every night, there will be a service provided going to Alona beach for people who wanted to experience the night life in Pangalo, pick up would be 8 pm in the hotel lobby, and return would be at 10 pm.  We joined the experience the next day and there we had dinner and had some drinks. Alona beach is also one of he place you could stay since it’s has more cheaper hotels and air bnb, also it’s near the beach and the city.

We slept early since we’re still exhausted from our canyoning trip in Cebu and the 3 hours boat ride to Tagbilaran, we recharge our bodies for our day tour in Bohol the next day.

Hope to see you on the next blog!
